When you realize the kids are out of school in a week and you still need to get work done! ⁣

5 rules I plan to follow this summer so I can get things done but still have the freedom and not be locked to a chair in front of the computer:⁣
⁣
-Get a sitter - even if it’s an hour a day, you can not work a business in the nooks and crannies if you want to actually run “a business” 😉. Just sayin’ ⁣
⁣
-Stop scrolling social media, and put your phone in airplane mode when your working - nothing is that important that you need to answer it ASAP.⁣
⁣
-Set boundaries. You work the hours you need to and then you need to shut it down. You will be more efficient having the time allotted that the distractions are going to have to wait. ⁣
⁣
-Clear your work area. Working in an area that is cluttered and messy AF - will clutter your brain. ⁣
⁣
-Brain dump in the morning. Pick 3 things that HAVE to get done. Lists can be daunting but if you prioritize 3 things, you will conquer those and once those are crossed off you will be happy and not so overwhelmed. ⁣

We are currently making a summer bucket list. We always sit with the kids around this time of year and write down all the things we want to do when school gets out.⁣

This will be my first summer that I’m not tied down to a 9-5 office and I can technically work from anywhere - I am pumped.⁣

It’s actually called a job. For years I underestimated myself and the work I was putting in. Shrunk from the tone when someone muttered, “oh network market” or “oh is it one of those multilevel marketing things”⁣

It wasn’t in the nooks and crannies of the day. It was carving out intentional time on a daily basis. Showing up just like you would for that “conventional job” ⁣

Zoom calls. ⁣
In person Meetings. ⁣
Research. ⁣
Events. ⁣
Customer service. ⁣
Marketing. ⁣
Putting in the hard work. ⁣

All the things this job calls for. I showed up. ⁣

So it wasn’t luck, it wasn’t when I started, and guess what it ain’t no pyramid scheme either 😉. ⁣
